So now Jesse (obra), Casey and Alex are in town and we started the hackathon.
We had a nice breakfast in Java Cafe @ Peer 40 bayside and went to the penthouse of Arthur's place. The place was really fantastic with the nice view, but an hour later the DNS suddenly went down. We tried to use external DNS server but got no luck. We gave up and headed for Six Apart office, where we joined with LJ guys like Brad and David.
Casey and Jesse are interested in hacking Plagger, which is sooo cool. Casey started building Planet system (aka Planet) on top of Plagger. He almost completed the work by creating Publish::Planet, along with some core directory (assets) reorganization. You can see how it works here. He's gonna build Planet Etech on top of this. Very cool. The example config is seen in examples directory in SVN. Plaggnet!
Jesse made some fixes to Makefile.PL so that we can install Plagger much nicer. It's not yet done, because assets directories are not installed and should be located in config.yaml file anyway. But it gets nicer definitely.
It's Sunday noon as of this writing. We got a very very nice Dim Sum and just started the Hackathon 2nd day. Casey is working on CustomFeed::FlickrSearch so it fetches flickr photos using Flickr API. I'll fix the known CustomFeed and Aggregator bug that causes duplicate customfeed entries, and possibly create a well-designed customfeed API/framework thingy that people can create custom feed easily without any piece of code.

Hi, urara. Hackathon is Hack + Marathon. We get together in a conference room, or around the couches with laptop, hack software engineering all the day. Geek's fest.
