Reel Big Fish rocks
This could be one of the best live albums of the punk rock music. Reel Big Fish's "Our Live Album is Better Than Yours" is full of fun songs and makes me remember their rocking show in Tokyo 4 or 5 years ago.
iTunes now sells their greatest hits album but don't buy it and instead try this.

Kafka on the Shore
I grabbed this from Garth's bookshelf and started reading it the last Sunday. I've already read it in Japanese and am enjoying the 2nd read in English. This will make it a book to read on this Friday's flight to Tokyo.

Cute overload: Kurumi
Today I went to the party at kenn's place in Hillsdale. I had a wonderful food like Udon and other very-nice Japanese food, with Beer and pretty good Wine.
Anyway, here's a cuteoverloaded picture and video of their dog Kurumi. She's damn adorable.

休みの国
１年に５００日あるという記念日をネタに中島らもが書き散らすエッセイ。あっさり読めてしまって物足りないけど、１個１個がみじかいのでちょっとした時間つぶしにはもってこい。
さてこっちに持ってきた本がきれてきた。あとは「地下鉄に乗って」だけ。来週と帰国フライト用にジャパンタウンで仕入れるかなあ。。

Casino Royale
I went to see the movie Casino Royale last night with Garth, Tien and Dice. It was a good movie but it was hilarious that every electric products used in the movie is Sony's: VAIO, Sony Ericsson cellphone, HDTV etc.

手紙
この日曜の夕方から読み始めて、夜に読み終わってしまった。
東野作品らしくグイグイ引き寄せる感じはいつもどおり。重く、悲しく、美しいストーリーで、読後感もさわやかというわけにはいかないけど、また読んでみたいという印象を持たせるには十分。
涙なしには読めない、というほど感動的なシーンというのはないけど、ストーリーの重さの積み重ねがじわじわと響いてくる。映画はまだみてないけど、東京に戻ったら見てみたい。こっちのほうがよりわかりやすそう。
