A week since I bought Panasonic GF1 ... I absolutely love this camera, and the default pancake lens is so awesome.
It gives you a pretty good contrast and colors with a night shot (you might need some tweaks to make it look darker),
Great bokeh when you take macro shots,
and reasonably good 720p HD videos, with manual focus control (or auto-focus as well, but i like the manual control better!).
And it is lighter than a DSLR camera because it's a micro four-thirds model. What else do you need? :)
Wow, that video looks great! I love the focus...

That size + manual focus is certainly tempting

Nice!

Nice! I've been up in the air between this and a 550D, and this may have pushed me over.

How high can you pump the ISO before it gets ugly?

I'd say ISO 400 is reasonable. Actually you can set the maximum ISO for auto-ISO mode in the config and 400 is the default.

That's it, even for web-sized stuff? Lame. But I guess with the 20mm it's not too bad.

I haven't even tested -- the Dashboard Confessional photo in this post is ISO400. I guess 800 isn't that bad either but really, i haven't tested and the default F1.7 lens is really light.

Wow, some of those pictures look amazing. Not got a digital SLR yet, still relying on my old 35mm one.
After seeing these, maybe it's time to step into the new millenium.
